Always believe that something wonderful is about to happen.” This is how I like to live my life. It gives me a sense of joy and eager anticipation.

And speaking of joy. That is what I think makes life worth living. Having a joyful outlook on life is different than fun, which, of course is great in its own way. Joy comes from the heart and is contagious. It elevates our mood. Joy can be found while singing along with favorite songs, in nature as one absorbs beauty all around, when holding a newborn baby. Joy is found when you are in the presence of the love of your life. Here’s what Mark Twain had to say about joy: "To get the full value of joy you must have someone to divide it with.”

Something else that is important to me is kindness. I go out of my way for others and believe that a small act of kindness can change a person’s life.

ME
I am kind, thoughtful, playful, silly and affectionate. I love my dog, gardening, learning, reading, meeting new friends, discovering places new to me, laughing, being in love. Next to being in love, and spending lots of time with my partner and family, the thing I love the most is traveling. I love to travel to other places in the Bay Area, in the United States (how many states do you still need to visit? 8 for me), or anywhere in the world. I love meeting new people and learning about new culture and finding unexpected places. I love taking the road less traveled.

I also enjoy sailing, being on, or near the water, standing in the sun with the wind blowing in my face, warm sunny days, top-down drives, road trips, a sky full of stars, lightning storms, and chasing eclipses and meteor showers.

I have a warm and affectionate personality. I love all the things about being in a loving relationship. I love falling asleep in your arms, waking with you and sharing a smile that crinkles the eyes before we even get out of bed. I love grocery shopping together, and cooking with you. I love finding new ways to show you how much I love you. I love being in love and all the feelings that go with that.

I crave to learn new things and can be found looking things up several times a day to find answers to my curiosities. I would love a partner who also has a curious mind. I enjoy learning some of the language native to the country I travel to.
